NAIS Hails Governor Aiyedatiwa for Reviving Márè Festival

The National Association of Idanre Students (NAIS National Body) has commended the Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for officially restoring the historic Márè Festival to the cultural calendar of Idanre land.

In a statement signed by its National President, Sen. Comr. Akinmolayan Ayomide (Asiwaju Lafe), the Association described the Governor’s action as a landmark achievement that rekindles the pride, heritage, and unity of the Idanre people.

The Márè Festival, long regarded as a symbol of culture and tourism, had been on hold for years, creating a void in the community’s identity and economy. Its revival, NAIS said, would not only strengthen cultural preservation but also boost tourism, empower local businesses, and create opportunities for the youth.

“By bringing back the Márè Festival, Governor Aiyedatiwa has restored a legacy for Idanre, Ondo State, and Nigeria at large. History will remember him as the leader who revived the pride of our land,” the statement read.

NAIS assured the Governor of its continuous support for his administration’s policies that promote culture, education, and sustainable development.
